Homebuyers must complete a homebuyer readiness program that includes structured consumer education and home repair classes. Homeownership is a big step. These classes provide homebuyer's with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful homeowners.

Home Repair Essentials
Homebuyers must also complete Cross Timber's hands-on Home Repair Essentials course. The Home Repair course will teach you how to make common repairs and complete regular preventative maintenance to avoid costly system failures.
Cross Timber sells homes to first-time homebuyers that want a new high-quality house that is affordable, not to investors. Homebuyers must self-declare that they intend to remain in their home for a minimum of 5-years. Resale restrictions may apply during this 5-year period.
Cross Timber builds homes for homebuyers, not spec homes. Homebuyers will be required to put 1% of the purchase price in an escrow account before construction begins. When construction is complete, the builder's deposit will be credited toward the down payment.
